10 Skinny Summer Cocktail Recipes

Hey, everyone! It's been a while since I've done a top 10 list or a list of cocktails for the season, but this is a little special. This is about keeping it sexy while still enjoying yourself. Of course, if you really want to be sexy, you should stay away from alcohol totally. But let's be real. We're all human and we all like to go out and party and really wind down our day. Why not keep the drinking a bit less moderate and enjoy them without loaded sugary juices and sodas. Here are some awesome drinks for your pleasure by Redbook's Mommy Mixologist, Kim Haasarud!

Kracked Mai Tai

1.5 oz Mount Gay Eclipse
.5 oz Cointreau
.5 oz Simple Syrup (1 to 1 ratio of sugar and water is optimal and you'll only have half the calories)
1 oz Fresh Lime
.5 oz Orgeat
Float of Kraken

Cucumber Mandarin Margarita
3/4 oz Silver Tequila
3/4 Hangar Mandarin Vodka
5 cucumber slices
1 oz Lime Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup
Tangerine/Mandarin Juice (Fresh juice is best)
Garnish (optional)

Blackberry Bramble
A great 80s style drink and has antioxidants!
1.5 oz Gin
3/4 oz Blackberry Liqueur
4 Blackberries
3/4 Lemon Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup

Blue Smoke Margarita
1.5 oz Silver Tequila
.5 oz Mezcal (sort of like a Tequila but not quite)
.5 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz Lime Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup

California Greyhound

A very cool remix on the classic Greyhound recipe
1.5 oz Gin
.5 oz Aperol (an Italian apertif)
1.5 oz Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice (natural works best)
3/4 oz Lime Juice
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
1 oz Tonic Water

Pink Sapphire

The name says it all with interesting ingredients
1oz Belvedere Pink Vodka
1 oz Bombay
2.5 oz Aperol
1/2 cup Grapefruit Chunks
3/4 oz Lime Juice
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
1 basil leaf

Honeydew Citrus Sangria

This is a very good drink with a great range of fruits that definitely cleanses, too. Be sure to soak the fruits and everything in there for at least a few hours.
1 bottle Moscato
3/4 cup Midori
1/4 cup Lemon Juice
1/4 cup Lime Juice
1/2 cup Simple Syrup
1 cup honeydew melon balls

Blackberry Perrier Mojito
2 oz Silver Rum
1 oz Lime Juice
1 oz Simple Syrup
4 blackberries
10-15 mint leaves
Mint Sprig
1 oz Perrier Water

Healthy Vodka Fruit Cocktail

This is a seriously nice mix created by the Tipsy Bartender
1.5 oz. (45 ml) vodka
1/4 apple
1/2 orange
5 grapes
1/4 mango
2 strawberries

Skinny Margarita

1 1/2 oz Tequila
Soda Water
Fresh Lime Juice
