The Japanese via Liquor.com and Hennessy VSOP Privilege

If you are more of a Brandy/Cognac kind of person, you should definitely put this libation in your resume. Certainly, this is a good twist to a classic framework. Jon Harris gives us a demonstration on how to make this cocktail. M

Recipe
2 oz Hennessy VSOP Privilege
1/2 oz Sesame Orgeat
2 Dashes Dr. Adam Elmegirab's Teapot Bitters
Garnish with Lemon Peel

They give a brief description to how you should create your own Sesame Orgeat:

"Sesame orgeat: Add .5 cup of black sesame seeds to a small skillet over medium heat, and toast for 90 seconds. Set aside and let cool. Add 2 cups of boiling water and 3 cups of sugar to a bowl and stir until dissolved. Transfer the syrup and sesame seeds to a blender and blend for 1 minute. Refrigerate the mixture overnight. Skim off any oils or solids that have floated to the surface and strain the mixture through a cheesecloth-lined fine-mesh sieve, discarding the solids. Stir in .5 mL of Amoretti Cherry Blossom (Sakura) extract and .25 mL of Amoretti Wild Strawberry extract. The orgeat will keep for at least 1 month in the refrigerator."

Enjoy!
