New Amsterdam Redberry Review/Taste Test/Mixes

Hey, everyone! I'm getting to this a bit late because I've been extremely busy lately, but I wanted to do two separate reviews. One review will be the New Amsterdam Red Berry.

I was at a party this Saturday and I have to say I was a bit on the broke side. LOL. It's safe to say that I pretty much wanted to cop something for cheap. So I bought a 375 ML bottle of New Amsterdam Red Berry. Now, I've seen a review on it (check it here) and I have to say it's not a bad replacement for the Ciroc Red Berry if you don't got the cake or if you want to bring a little something to a party where people don't care and they will mix their drink anyway.

Smelling Notes
Definitely has a Blackberry, Strawberry and Raspberry smell. Very good aroma. You certainly get a lot of sweetness in the note and can tell someone put time into infusing the vodka with the strawberry/raspberry/raspberry flavor.

Taste
Slight burn but nothing too bad. The strawberry feel definitely comes through and the hint of raspberry at the end. NOT BAD! It's not as smooth as a Ciroc because that vodka already has a grape/berry influence coming from France. However, if you don't have the funds to get a bottle of Ciroc, this is certainly a solid option. Also, it's a party favorite when it comes to flavored vodka.

Mixes

There are a few things you can do with Berry Flavored Vodkas. A Cape Cod with a Lime Twist (you cannot go wrong with Cranberry Juice). You can do it up a bit with a Simply Raspberry Lemonade feel, which is a bit sweeter and more refreshing. You can keep it simple with some Sprite (which makes it taste like an alcoholic Sprite remix). More New Amsterdam Red Berry recipes here.

Price Point

Depending on where you're located, you can get a traditional 750mL for roughly $13-15 bucks. A 1.75L for about $20-25. Definitely a worthy buy ESPECIALLY for a party.

Overall: B- to B - It's affordable, tastes solid, and a great mixing cocktail for your party.
