I Invented New Holiday Classics (How To Drink)

 Pretty cool cocktails. Check them out! 


Kringle Collins: Build in shaker Add .5 oz. or 15 ml. Lime Juice .5 oz. or 15 ml. Lemon Juice 1.5 oz. or 45 ml. Cranberry Rosemary Syrup* 2 oz. or 60 ml. Gin Add ice and shake. Carbonate drink Pour into glass Garnish with a Lime Wheel and sprig of Fresh Rosemary *Cranberry Rosemary Syrup: In saucepan Add 1 part Fresh Cranberries 1 part Water 1 Part Sugar Handful of Rosemary Sprigs Boil until sugar is dissolved Strain into bottle Easier version: Replace Fresh Cranberries and Water with 1 part Cranberry Juice. Grannys Gingerbread-tini: Smash up some Graham Crackers into a powder Rim glass with Chocolate Syrup and Graham Cracker powder Build in shaker Add 1.5 oz. or 45 ml. Granny's Gingerbread Cream Liqueur 1.5 oz. or 45 ml. Cognac .5 oz. or 15 ml. Chocolate Liqueur Add ice and shake Strain into glass Garnish with a Candy Cane Santa Sour: Build in shaker. .5 oz. or 15 ml. Lemon Juice 1 oz. or 30 ml. Simple Syrup .75 oz. or 22 ml. Amaro Di Angostura 1.5 oz. or 45 ml. Bourbon 1 dash of Cardamom Bitters Egg White Dry Shake Add ice and shake again Strain into glass

Layered Holiday Mai Tai: The Drink Your Holiday Party Needs (Booze On The Rocks)

 This is a nice twist on a traditional Mai Tai. Definitely great for the holiday season! 



Recipe

Base Layer 1.5 oz/45 ml White Rum 1 oz/30 ml Pineapple Juice .5 oz/15 ml Lime Juice .5 oz/15 ml Orgeat .25 oz/7.5 ml Simple Syrup Top Layer .5 oz/15 ml White Rum 1 oz/30 ml Pomegranate Juice Method 1. Add all of the ingredients to a shaker. 2. Shake with ice for 8-10 seconds. 3. Fine strain into a coupe.


Single Serve Maple Eggnog & Tequila Flip / Last Minute Christmas Cocktails (Truffles On The Rocks)

 It's funny that the host mentioned last-minute Christmas cocktails when I'm actually posting this up in the final 20 minutes of Christmas (at least on the East Coast). Anyway, these are pretty good. I know, more eggnog but still, this is good stuff. Also, that Tequila Flip is something I've never seen before.

How to make the Maple Eggnog

2 oz Bourbon 0.5 oz Olorosso Sherry 0.75 oz Robust Maple Syrup 1 oz Heavy Cream 1 Whole egg How to make a batched Maple Eggnog (12 servings) 6 eggs 9 oz robust maple syrup 6 oz Oloroso Sherry 18 oz Bourbon 18 oz Whole Milk 12 oz Heavy Cream Instructions: Whisk Eggs and Maple Syrup How to make the Tequila & Chocolate Flip 1.5 oz Reposado Tequila 0.5 oz Brown Cacao Liqueur 0.5 oz Averna 1 Whole egg In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and maple syrup until smooth and slightly frothy. Add Liquor and Mix Slowly add the Oloroso Sherry and Brandy, whisking continuously to combine. Incorporate Dairy Gradually whisk in the milk and heavy cream until the mixture is uniform. Chill and Serve Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled, with optional garnishes like grated nutmeg or cinnamon.

Rumchata Pumpkin Spice x Fireball (Club Dirty)

Now, the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shot was something I was introduced to back in 2010-2011. I'm not the biggest Fireball fan, but man...that mix is absolutely perfect. Heat with the sweetness and creaminess. Amazing. 

A few months ago, one of my bartending homegirls put me onto the RumChata Pumpkin Spice. I'm not really a big fan of pumpkin, but I was like, "Yo, you know what? Why not?!"

Boy, I was in for a pleasant surprise. This tasted soooo good. The perfect mix between the heat of the Fireball and that Rumchata gave it some serious flow and finesse. Great tasting shooter. This is the perfect holiday shooter, from Thanksgiving to New Year's Eve. Check out this mix below:

  • Beat yolks with sugar and nutmeg in large mixing bowl until mixture lightens in color. Combine dairy, booze, and salt in separate vessel and slowly beat into egg mixture. Move to glass jars and store sealed in the fridge.
