Get some wedding favors to go with your cocktails

One of the greatest things about wedding favors is the versatility. When you go to your cocktail hour of your reception, why not award your best guests with amazing party favors such as nice bar coasters to hold their favorite rocks glass, beer glasses, or even just a simple glass of juice. Also, you can give your special ladies a nice starfish wedding stopper just for trips on the beach, their honey moons, or a quiet evening on a winter day. The favors are endless and they can go well within your wedding budget. Show your guests that you care and let them take a piece of the wedding for their own enjoyment.

Enjoy your nights out and still lose weight with a HCG plan

Are you afraid of losing your nights out because you are sticking with a crazy diet plan? Well, do not fret because you can still enjoy your nice weekly cocktail while still promoting a great diet. By exploiting your own HCG hormone, you'll find that it's much easier to lose weight because you are not storing fat. You are using your fat as an energy source which helps you burn calories. Build your metabolism and develop a great eating regimen where you take it in less calories while fulfilling your body's needs. All the while, you'll be able to enjoy your life and still drink your favorite cocktails.

Stanislav Vadrna - "Spirit" of a Great Bartender

This is a really interesting small segment of bartender, Stanislav Vadrna. Really great information regarding a more spiritual perspective on bartending.

Plan out a separate cocktail menu with your wedding invitations

Once you've dealt with the brunt of your wedding invitations such as time, location, date, food, and all of that, it's a great thing to put on a separate menu strictly for cocktails. You can have some dessert cocktails that really entice the ladies and shows that you have something a bit special for them. And you can have classic cocktails to your gentlemen. Also, you can put down a poll for requests or anything special for people that may have certain allergies or affinities towards certain liquors. You can even have a mocktail menu for your little ones so they can feel like they are a part of the party.

Get on a HCG diet and still enjoy your cocktail nights!

A lot of people feel that the key to losing weight is getting rid of all the pleasurable things they like. That is absolutely wrong because your body goes into starvation or you binge eat. By getting on a HCG diet, you'll be able to really unleash the fat storing hormone in your body into a more active hormone that uses the fat as energy. Yes, it's important to maintain a good diet where you are actively eating the right foods, but enjoy yourself with a cocktail every now and again. Treat yourself to a great drink and still lose weight and maintain a great figure.

Keep tradition alive by getting great wedding garters

It's tradition for the bride to take off her garter to throw to an unmarried male. Ensure that you have the right wedding garters for your perfect wedding. Right after you get the wedding reception and you have a few drinks in your system, it's always great to play some good bride and groom games. Wedding garters are diverse because they go well with the bride's dress in a number of sizes, colors, and cloths. Also, towards the end of the night, it's always a treat to see the unmarried males try to catch the garter for good luck. You can save your other one as a good way to remember your special day in your wedding book.

Build the right wedding favors for your cocktails

If you are having a grand time at your wedding, why not bring it to the cocktail hour and to the floor? You can have items such as custom mugs and cups for your special guests that will surely prove as nice wedding favors. Imagine you have a best friend with a nice home bar and he doesn't have any coasters for drinks. You can get some cool coasters that has his name on it which is cheap yet really nice for company. Also, you can invest in a good wine stopper to hold wine for the celebrations such as the holidays and the birthdays. Simple yet effective wedding favors are always in style.

Christmas Cocktails: Yo HO HO and some Bottles of Rum and Punch!

Hey, everyone! I happen to get lucky today and get some really great rum. I had some Rum Punch which you could see in the back made with Bacardi Gold. Then I had got some Rum from my country (Bahamas) looking at the Pineapple flavored Rum and some St. Croix (Cruzan) Rum, the coconut flavored. It's going to be a rather soothing Christmas. Come up with a crazy cocktail menu for your wedding invitations

Help to secure a good location by sending out wedding invitations in advance. Let all your special people know the country, the time, and the date so you can really get some funds together and have a great wedding. Also, post up your menu for your food and cocktails. If you have a classy black and white theme, make sure you have a great menu to go with including classic cocktails like the old fashioned, hurricane, and more. Also, if your wedding a bit more lax, then some great tropical cocktails like Mai Tais and Mojitos would be great!

Build your own unity ceremony with cocktails after

Why not set the mood to your wedding right with a unity ceremony. Having a nice candlelit ceremony will surely bring you a lot of romance and a lot of closeness as you both reach holy matrimony. You can get candles and dim the lights to provide a sense of intimacy and true love. Or you can even bring sand to match your beach or tropical theme. After that, go straight to the reception and have romantic based cocktails with chocolate or tropical/beach drinks with fresh pineapple and rum. Show your unity with your spouse and go all out to show why your wedding day is special.

Make sure you get a proper dental practice valuation

Learning about the value of your business or other businesses is great as far as getting the best price depending on your selling or buyer point. It's essential that you find a proper way of getting a good dental practice valuation. Doing your research on the area you're in, price point, and the type of materials you have are all great ways to find value within your own property. When you have this information and align yourself with the right attorneys or consultants, it makes it much easier to sell at the right price. Likewise with buying a business for yourself.

Get your own bar through finding solid unsecured business loans

Do you want to get your own bar, have your liquor license, and really know your bartenders, but need a great place to hold it? Well, through unsecured business loans, it'll give you the opportunity for good funding to hold a business together. You'll need a great consultant to help you find the best interest rates so you don't have to spend an arm and a leg later down the line. Finding the best possible solution now will keep you from developing a long line of credit in case you do not need it. Get your dream bar started right now without a problem.

5 liquors to use for drinks at your December 21st Party!

Pic Source: 214liquors.com

Hey, everyone! The countdown to The End of the World is on December 21st. You literally have til Friday to get everything together! I might go into more but I'll post 5 liquors you want to go out with a bang!

1.) Everclear (Grain Alcohol)!!!

Yes! NOTE: DO NOT DRINK THIS BY ITSELF! I REPEAT! DO NOT DRINK THIS BY ITSELF! Use this is a huge party punch for your friends! This is strong enough to hold down a nice mix for about 20-30 of your friends. Depending on what part of the country you're in, you may or may not be able to access the 190 proof one. Try getting the 175. Still potent. If you want the mix to be stronger, use it with any gin, vodka, or rum, you choose. Do not use tequila! LOL.

2.) Bacardi 151 (Overproof Rum)

This is a bad boy! You can also use it in your Jungle Juice. However, it goes down much better in shots and bad ass cocktails. I'll post a couple below! One of my favorites is making the Caribou Lou. Perfect mix between strong and sweet.

3.) Tequila (100% Agave)

Real Tequila. Not that mixto crap that does not say 100% Pure Agave. Good choices would be Partido, 1800, and other brands out there that provide a clean taste. If you want to get a bit fancier or I guess more expensive: Patron and Don Julio works as well. Great for mixing into Long Island Iced Teas and Margaritas! Definitely a nice way to bring in your night.

4.) Whiskey (Whisky, scotch, bourbon, whiskey)

This one is a bit special! If I were going out with a bang, I would not get the cheap crap. I would go mid range to top shelf easily. There are a lot of things you can get such as Crown Royal, Makers Mark, Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker, Chivas Regal, McCallen, etc. A lot of times a fine drink is sipped neat or on ice, but there ar ea few classic cocktails you can make..one being the old fashioned:

5.) Liqueurs/Schnapps

If you are having females over, you definitely need these in your repertoire. The main thing about these particulars is creating shots or cocktails. These are awesome drinks that help you set your party off.

Snake Blood and Vodka in Vietnam via Tipsy Bartender

Man, oh man! I've seen some weird customs (in the Philippines thy eat a dish call balut - embryo of chicken), but this definitely takes the cake. Snake blood and vodka? Wow! 0_o. I've never seen anything like that. Pretty amazing and sickening all at the same time. He also eats some interesting snake delicacies.

Christmas Cocktail: Christmas Pudding via Common Man Cocktails

A Christmas Pudding, ey? NICE!!!!!

1/4 oz Creme de Cassis
1/4 oz Chambord
1 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin
2 oz Citrus Soda
3 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Learn to market your dental practice for sale

Learning to sell your business for a fair price is important no matter what industry you are in like a Cocktail bar, Restaurant, or even Dentistry. Learning to market your dental practice for sale will help you ensure a great return on investment, help you buy more property, or even ensure a great retirement plan. There are great attorneys out there with vast experience in healthcare that will help you sign fair and accurate contracts. Whether you have a problem with an agreement or tax issues, they will be there to help you on each specific step to come to a total solution.

Use skinny cocktail recipes with HCG to help you have a great time and keep off extra pounds

HCG is a hormone that regulates your stored fat. With a great eating schedule and workout plan, you can help release in a way that uses the stored fat as a mechanism to increase your metabolism. However, with a lot of sugary drinks out there, this might be the problem. Don't starve yourself or deprive yourself of your favorite stuff, but keep it moderation. Or better yet consume the same amount with less of the ingredients. For example, there are low calorie vodkas on the market and you can use cocktails that have diet ingredients. Also, you can omit a lot of the sugary elements to have your cocktail with less emphasis on the mixers.

5 Tips to Make the Best Party Drinks for the Holidays

Yo, yo! How's everyone's week so far? I know it's only a Monday night, but I just decided to get this week started with a special post. It's Christmas time really soon and of course, the Mayan Apocalypse =P. I wanted to get a few cool posts up that I know people might want to read. So here goes!

Based on my personal experience (2 1/2 years), I've found some very interesting things about cocktails and why certain things fit appropriately. Here are MY Top tips to making the BADDEST PARTY PUNCH FOR YOUR HOLIDAYS!!!

1.) THEME!!!!

Yes, the theme is VERY important. Why? Presentation, people! If its Christmas, you want something that says Christmas. You want something warm and cozy. Thanksgiving, savory and big ass pig (kidding on the pig party). St. Patrick's Day, loud/obnoxious/fun. Get what I'm saying?! 4th of July, fun/patriotic/colorful

2.) COLOR!!!!

Color is VERY IMPORTANT! You want it to scream out a certain feel. With Christmas there is a lot of red, white and some green. Thanksgiving is more subtle such as a brown/yellow, etc. St. Patrick's Day - GREEN ALL DAY! 4th of July - Red, White and Blue.

3.) The LIQUOR!

Yes, you cannot forget about the liquor, my friends. What types of liquor depends on your crowd, but here are a few things that match. With Thanksgiving, you want a nice whiskey or brandy to go with a spied eggnog, a nice pumpkin pie martini. Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Drinks and the like are all great candidates. Hell, there are even Pumpkin flavored beers on the market for your sipping pleasure. Christmas - it's a bit more open. A lot of the look based on a nice or red color. Using a nice white chocolate liqueur, a creme de cacao, tequila, white or dark rum goes well with your chocolate and your peppermint schnapps. You can even use a Candy Cane to help garnish your delectable alcoholic treat! 4th of July, pretty much anything goes! You want a cookout. You'll probably want a nice vodka and lemonade to cool off. Maybe some really interesting layered shot that has some vodka, blue curacao, and grenadine.

4.) Pre, During, and After - Know what you set your cocktail or party drink for

Of course, all things can be set a different time. A lot of party drinks can be the dessert cocktail. Whether it's a very sweet and savory drink that has a lot of cake, pie, or pastry elements to it. Maybe a dessert wine is used such as Moscato. Or you can have your specific cocktail has an apertif to wet your appetite. Pretty much, you'll know based on the type of cocktail, whether it's meant to be the before, during, and after.

5.) Ease your buzz or getting really nice!

Some cocktails are meant to soothe and keep you warm such as a nice Spiked Cider. Other like an Irish Car Bomb are meant to get you REALLY NICE! You just have to find that right balance and go in =). I hope you've enjoyed this small guide. Here are a few videos below that'll help you get your party drinks done right! Enjoy! Happy Holidays!

Spiced Vermouth - Kathy Casey's Liquid Kitchen - Small Screen

Definitely an awesome spiced drink with great elements.

4 large pieces of orange peel
1 large slice of fresh ginger
2 whole allspice
5 whole cloves
10 fresh cranberries
1 oz spiced rum
1 cup sweet red vermouth

Include a quality cocktail menu with your wedding invitations

One of the great things about wedding invitations is coming up with a great menu. People can actually RSVP and vote on what they think would be some great items for the menu. This is a great way to get people involved in your special day and make it the best possible day for not only you but your closest ones. You can even put a separate menu to include possible liquors that will be available. You'll be able to build a general consensus on what types of things people want and you'll be able to pick better bartenders for your reception.

Cocktails and wedding favors set the reception off just right

One great thing about the wedding reception is the cocktails. They are the perfect way to start the evening with a gentle buzz that will warm up everyone. It's the perfect time to break out your wedding favors. Some hilarious gestures such as a funny cocktail coasters, a special napkin, or even a cool wedding shot glass will definitely be most appreciated. While you are having a nice glass of your favorite drink, let your guests enjoy some awesome party favors that they can use well down the road. Give them something they can take home and use in the long term.

The Brass Monkey Cocktail via Common Man Cocktail

Now, this is interesting. I have found two different recipes concerning this cocktail. One is a cocktail that features malt liquor and orange juice. Pretty much the Beastie Boys talked about this drink in their song "Brass Monkey". Obviously, this is more of a hood type drink where you buy some cheap liquor and mix it with a juice. However, this mix that Mr. Derrick Schommer as brought to us is a slightly enhance screwdriver. This one is also the traditional brass monkey. Let's get into the recipe shall we:

1 oz. Vodka
3 oz. orange juice
1 oz. dark rum

Pushkin Milk Punch by Igor Zernov.

Honestly, I love clips like this. I'm not a crazy Bacardi fan, but I do like Making Caribou Lous with Bacardi 151. What I genuinely love about this clip is the bartender/mixologist really enjoys what he does and loves the history of cocktails. I love historical things and how cocktails were made, too. You can get a true glimpse into what was going on during the times and how people made things out of necessity or excess.

This cocktail definitely has very interesting, complex, and elegant elements to it. This punch was made in honor of Russian poet, Alexander Pushkin.

Recipe
60 ml Bacardi Superior Rum
40 ml Sherry Pedro Jimenez
35 ml Earl Grey Tea & Condensed Milk
2 drop Orange Bitter
1 cube burnt sugar
Garnish: grated nutmeg and chocolate bar

Customize your own wedding invitations

What's sleeker than to have an old 1920-1930s style cocktail party after your wedding? Why not have wedding invitations that hold some really great cocktail glasses to show that it's not only time for a special day but a time to have fun and let loose. In fact, you can have a special RSVP on your menu to vote for types of spirits people may want at your party along with a great selection of food choices. Invite your loved ones on a full day of celebration. Let them know ahead of time the location and the date so they can prepared for your glorious day.

Get some sleek wedding favors to add to the fun!

Wedding favors not only show you care about your family and friends, but can also be a lot of fun! Why not enhance your reception with a fun prize that only a select people can win. Maybe people have to take a drink and enter a cool dance contest. At the end of the contest, a winner could end up with a wine stopper or a customized coaster for their beer or cocktail at home. Maybe there's a special funny joke that will give a hint for a custom funny wedding favor later in the night. Enjoy your special reception and create a great environment for all your family.

Enhance your reception with personalized napkins

Trying to make the transition from wedding to the reception? Personalized napkins will definitely take the cake literally and figuratively to provide an easier way to eat your finger foods. Why get your hands cold or dirty by eating finger foods. Get a great personalized napkin specially made for your reception to help keep things neat and organized. Also, try out a great cocktail and hold it right there to really enjoy yourself during your own happy hour. You can promote your wedding, your business, or just have a great message right on the napkin that will give your evening reception some character.

Get some really classy wedding decorations to enhance your reception

Wedding decorations can cost a fortune if you aren't creative or you just want to be that extravagant. However, to the average Joe that wants to save for the honeymoon, it's good to find a great wedding service that will help you deck out your wedding in style. Find a great design like a black and white theme that's simple and elegant and you can put some great accessories on your table to match. Imagine opening that champagne bottle with a great photo to get the mood started. Enjoy yourself and let someone else help with the wedding decorations to ensure a great time.

Enjoy your mimosas after a beautiful sand ceremony

Are you looking to bring the islander vibe to your own wedding? Why not have a sand ceremony to set everything off. You can have everyone wear white to the wedding to bring that tropical vibe back to your home regardless of the temperature. Bringing sand to your wedding is so much more exotic, so much more romantic and you bring a beautiful element that looks great in pictures. Imagine right after the wedding, you have a champagne toast and start your reception off with some amazing mimosas. The theme will provide the perfect backdrop to your wondrous evening with your family.

Find a great place that not only has the ordinary wedding favors, but will help you customize and develop it into something special. This could mean a special wine stopper or coaster made just for the house of a guest to take home and use on special occasions.

Put some special cocktail recipes on your wedding invitations

Getting ready for your wedding well include some special recipes on your wedding invitations for the wedding reception. The reception is a special time to get loose with your family and friends and make it a night to remember. Along with your RSVP menu and giving the details to where and when it will be held, you can have a special cocktail menu that caters to a theme. You'll catch some funny, embarrassing and incredible moments on your disposable camera to save for your wedding album much later.

Treat your guests to some awesome wedding favors

Getting wedding favors is a great way of giving back to your guests. Your guests such as your family, friends, and associates could be doing something other than celebrating your special day with your spouse. People really take these nice gestures to heart and it shows something about your character. You can get a nice card for every individual person and have a special theme or message that they can use in their own home. You can specific gifts for certain guests that have really helped out your wedding. You don't have to spend a fortune to say a simple "Thank You" message.

This can also include a cocktail menu which features Caribbean based drinks like a Mai Tai or a Mojito. Make it a moment to show your loved ones your next crucial step in life.

Get some wedding favor containers to help keep things organized

Wedding favor containers are really nice for their storing ability, which makes them very useful for your wedding. For example, if you had a bottle of decent champagne or wine at every table, you could a get a nice wine/champagne opener stored inside where people can open a bottle for themselves. It'll look really nice with your theme as well. Or you could do something as simple as having a wedding book where people can sign off or a special card with some markers or pen stashed in the container. You can decorate the containers with elegance such as a bow, a sleek design, or keep it simple.

Sip out of some classy wedding flutes for your reception

One of the best moments of the wedding before your entire reception kicks off is the toast of champagne. If you have the budget, get some really beautiful gold or crystal made wedding flutes when you toast to the rest of your life. Even if you cannot afford some expensive flutes, it really does add more to have some fine champagne flutes that you can sip your good champagne and have a nice light drink to complement your reception food. Align the right cocktail glass with your wedding centerpieces

Nothing says classy more than great wedding centerpieces aligned with the perfect cocktail or wine glass. It's a picture perfect setting. Beautifully folded black and white napkins can create an incredible vibe that transcends the time. Picture a wedding centerpiece right on the table with beautifully lit candle and matching colors setting off the decorum of the whole evening. Everyone in the table is draped in a beautiful outfit that goes right with theme. Capture this moment in time with a nice cold glass of wine or vodka right on top of your napkin while you look at a decorative wedding centerpiece.

Get some wedding favor bags to really give your care to gifts

Don't know what to use to show your love to guests? Wedding favor bags are excellent because you can perfectly stash some great favors without having to buy a box. You can get any size and you can place it right under the chairs, the tables or even have them as a centerpiece for any table. You can put messages, containers, cards, and more into these bags. If anything, people can reuse these bags to stash gifts for a holiday treat for relatives depending on the design of the bag. Whether it's simple or extravagant, your family and friends will appreciate this little treat.

Take in the ambiance together with a great unity ceremony

A wedding is much more than a gathering but a union between two sacred people. That's why is very important to hold a unity ceremony to allow more intimacy between you and your spouse. Something as simple as a candle burning before you say your vows is something a little unique yet traditional in the sense of creating a mood and getting everyone's attention. It's much more romantic and engaging and your guests will feel an inner connection with you and your spouse. Not only that, it will help build the close relationship. Enjoy your movement into holy matrimony for life.

Give a great gift to your guest in the form of wedding favor boxes

Wedding favor boxes are excellent gestures to show your guests why they are important. Remember, you asked them to take time out of their schedule to enjoy your special day! Show them some love and appreciation. It doesn't have to cost a lot, just be creative. Whether you have a really elaborate box with only a simple message inside or a nice wine stopper, you can really put a smile on someone's face with a simple token of love. This is something they will remember for years and will always cherish and hold to their hearts. Make it a special day for your guests, too.

Scofflaw Cocktail - The Cocktail Spirit with Robert Hess - Small Screen

This is why I really appreciate this channel. Often times, I see different cocktails but never know the history. I have to say this is some pretty cool stuff. On the YouTube page, the small screen network describes this drink:

"The word "Scofflaw" has come to mean "A person who flouts the law, especially an unsustainable one." But such was not always the case. It was in 1923, when Delcevare King, a member of the Anti-Saloon League, posed a contest to create a new word in order to combat the continued drinking which was going on during American Prohibition. The new word was to be one "which best expresses the idea of a lawless drinker, menace, scoffer, bad citizen, or whatnot, with the biting power of 'scab' or 'slacker.'" The $200 prize elicited a huge response. On January 16th, 1924, the Boston Herald announced the winning word as "scofflaw", with the winnings shared by the two Boston area residents, Henry Irving Dale and Kate L. Butler, who both submitted it. This was not the end of the story however, in just a little over a week, a salvo was launched from Harry's New York Bar in Paris, where they created a new drink and christened it the "Scofflaw"
