Tokyo Iced Tea

I've had Midori, I've had Sake, but this bad mix is CRAZY!!! It's not your typical Green Looking Tea! Forget Long Islands..this is purely bad ass!!! Check out the crazy recipe to go with the whole thing:

1/2oz Vodka
1/2oz Rum
1/2oz Gin
1/2oz Tequila
1/2oz Triple Sec
1oz Sweet & Sour
Splash Lemon-Lime Soda
1/2oz Melon Liqueur

Don't be fooled by the alien, radioactive green color. It will not knock you out! LOL! One of these or maybe two and I think I'd be through!

Try a Malibu Bay Breeze via Tipsy Bartender

The original drink is a little bit more manly in the sense that Vodka is involved. However, this is better for the women! Ladies, Ladies, Ladies! If you aren't really a big drinker or don't necessarily like strong drinks, this is one for you. It's smooth, it's easy, and it tastes like a girl drink! LOL. All jokes aside, you fellas should take good advantage of this Malibu because the females love it! Let's get right down to it -- the recipe!

1 1/2 oz Malibu Coconut Rum
2 oz Cranberry Juice
2 oz Pineapple Juice

As you can see, it's very easy. Yet a real smooth mix. The Cranberry is a bit tart and the Coconut and Pineapple Juice are sweet. Well balanced drink. Also, the color is a very girly kind of color, so try that out!

The Waterfall via TipsyBartender

I think if this had more of a sky blue color this would look really great. Looks like a great party drink, though. I'll have one of my homegirls chug it! LOLOL. The recipe is from this spot called Mahoney's in Grand Rapids, Iowa. I actually have a long lost friend from there. Maybe he knows about it? Check out the recipe below:

3/4 Pint Energy Drink
1 Shot Raspberry Vodka
1/2 Shot Blue Curacao

Hot Lips Cocktail via Common Man Cocktails

This is something I would not mind trying with a huge bag of Tortilla Chips or putting over top of Taco or something. I don't think I'd want to drink it, but I would use it more as a sauce. Looks pretty intense, though. The alcohol amount isn't crazy enough for you to get twisted off of because the spice kind of kills that notion. You'll be burning up more than you buzz. LOL. Check out the recipe:

1 1/2 oz. Reposado Tequila
1 1/2 oz. Caramelized Pineapple Concentrate from Perfect Puree
1/2 oz. St. Germain Elderflower
2 Slices of Jalapeño

How to Make your own Irish Cream (but STRONGER)

If you've had Baileys, you know that tastes really great but it's not the strongest liquor ever. In fact, it's only at 17%. This mixture causes a use of 2 ozs of Jameson's Irish Whiskey (packing a nice punch!). Check out the full recipe below:

1 Can Coconut Milk
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Coconut Creamer
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/3 Cup Coffee
2oz Jameson

The Greatest Jungle Juice Ever by the Tipsy Bartender

He is the one that inspired me and my peeps to create a Jungle Juice!! This puts mine to shame. I'll say this big giant jungle juice would sit well for a few cups of serving at least 200-300 peeps! This is awesome. Just the two bottles of 151 and the Everclear makes it potent, but of course..it doesn't stop there! Check it out:

Recipe:
2 Bottles Bacardi 151
2 Bottles Everclear
6 Bottles Vodka
2 Bottles Gin
1 Bottle 99 Grapes
1 Bottle 99 Apples
2 Bottles Coconut Rum
2 Bottles Sour Apple Pucker
2 Bottles Peach Schnapps
8 Boone's Strawberry Hill
4 Big Bottles 7up
4 Big Bottles Pineapple Juice
4 Big Bottles Hawaiian Punch
5 Big Bottles Orange Crush
5 Big Bottles Orange Juice

Excellent work, Mr. Tipsy Bartender! Salute!!!

Cool bartender trick Bacardi commercial with Alexander Shtifanov (Cuba Libre, Bacardi Mojito)

I always love mixologists. I think it's a dope art. A lot of people are like give me my drink, but that's a bit boring. Have some flair, have some funk, have some flavor to really do it up big! I saw the Russia's got talent or Europe's Got Talent (I think) posted on the Tipsy Bartender Facebook Page, and then found this! Pretty cool stuff! I love how he smoothed it out for a guy and a girl to somehow get together. Check it out!!!

How to Make an ABC shooter (shot) via Common Man Cocktails

Two words: Dragon Breath. Not in the sense of having really foul breath, but in the sense of FIRE! Yes! FIRE!!! I think it's safe to say I'm never trying this shot! I've had a half shot of everclear. But even I was foolish then. LOL. Anyway, if you really don't care about your body..drink this. If you do care about your body, go to my Green Tea blog and drink that instead. LOLOL.

Recipe:
1/3 Absinthe
1/3 Bacardi 151
1/3 Green Chartreuse

1 oz. Orange Vodka
Splash of Coca Cola

Tequila Salsa via Tipsy Bartender

I honestly wish he came out with this during Cinco de Mayo. However, this is still a cool, summer recipe! If you are trying to had a certain flair or strength to your cocktail, you can try this cool ass recipe - Tequila Salsa. Check it out, my friends!

Recipe:
1 Mango
1 Avocado

1 Jalapeño
1 Habanero
1/2cup Cilantro
3 Minced Garlic Cloves
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Limes
1/2cup Chopped Red Onion
3 Tablespoons Olive Oil

It's not crazy strong, but you don't want the Tequila to kill the taste! It's a nice light pour over all of the ingredients! Check it out below, so you can get a good visual of the recipe!

Go on a nice luxury wilderness resort

Tired of typical vacations where you stay in the same hotel room, on the same beach, and do the same kind of things? Maybe a tropical vibe is not your cup of tea. Check Canada's luxury wilderness resort at Sonora Resort. It's one of the most lavish places to visit in seeing some of Canada's wildlife such as grizzly bears, orcas, sea lions and dolphins. You'll also get to relax with a great hydrotherapy treatment as well as manicure and pedicure. For the men, you can take a golf retreat at the Storey Creek Golf Course and take a swing.

Dark and Stormy Cocktail via Common Man Cocktails

2 oz dark Gosling's rum
1/2 oz of Lime Juice
Top with Barrett's ginger beer

Absinthe The Green Fairy (How to Serve Absinthe) via Tipsy Bartender

I don't know if anyone checked out my post back in March on how to really drink absinthe, but here's another video going straight to Europe in a place where they never banned it. You'll get all the raw details on how to really taste absinthe in more explosive way! Shoutout to Skyy John aka The Tipsy Bartender for showing everyone how it's done!

The Pain Killer cocktail

I'm trying to work my way into more summer/tropical based cocktails, and this is the one that does it. I love screwdrivers, and this one is a bit sweet but a bit more powerful to the palette! Peep it!

Recipe:
1.5 oz of Dark Rum
0.5 oz of Malibu Rum
2oz of Pineapple Juice
2oz of Orange Juice

I gotta try this asap because I already know it'll be a great cool out drink

How To Make Homemade Sour Mix via Common Man cocktails

It's really nice to use fresh fruit for things. I was never a big fan of pre-made lime juice or lemon juice as they taste really watered down and they just don't add the flavor and the bite you need to turn up your cocktail. This is a good way to make your own sweet and sour mix.

Basically, all you add is simple syrup (1 cup water, 1 cup sugar)
1 part lemon juice
1 part lime juice
shake it up
There you go!

This is a real sleeper for cocktails as the pre-made stuff is way too sugary or way too bitter to really add anything to your taste buds. Check it out and enjoy!

Bubble Gum Shot via Tipsy Bartender

A pretty cool shot for a girl that tastes like a Banana Bubble Gum treat

Recipe:
1 part Vodka
1 part Melon Liqueur
1 part Creme de Banana
1 part Sweet and Sour
1 part Grenadine
1 part Orange Juice

Btw, Jessica is funny. LOL.

Strawberry Banana Jello Shots via TipsyBartender

This is what you call straight up awesome! I've had a bunch of different jello shots before but never thought of infusing a strawberry flavored jello with strawberry vodka and powerful banana schnapps together in one go!

Check out the recipe:
Strawberries
1/2 cup Strawberry Vodka
1/2 cup 99 Bananas
1 packet Strawberry Jello
Whipped Cream

Don't knock the look because the vodka is at least 70 proof and 99 bananas is like 44.5 proof and you are using half a cup! So, it's pretty dayum strong! LOL. Enjoy!

Drink to get buzzed or drink to get wasted?

Some people out there feel the need to get completely trashed every single time they go out or go to a party. That has a lot of health ramifications that you'll have to deal with later in life. I'm not saying that I haven't gotten to that point, but I make sure that at least 90% of the time, that does not happen! I've never blacked out..I've thrown up maybe one time and that's pretty much it. As you can see, I'm not perfect, but I try my best to be aware!!! Getting wasted on a regular clearly messes up your liver, you are more prone to certain diseases, and it's jut not a smooth thing to do at all.

Drinking to get buzzed. While it's not the best to do that, it is good to keep drinking in moderation. I try to drink a bit before my limit. Get the right buzz, get the great feeling going, and that's what you should look for while you drink: the celebratory or cool down factor. You shouldn't drink to not remember your situation, you shouldn't drink because you are stressed, and you shouldn't drink every day or every morning like you depend on it. Keep it in moderation and keep it fly!

Listen to some smooth talk from Diddy! Drink responsibly people!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake and Key Lime Pie Martini

This is a beautiful creation that would be the perfect treat for after dinner or something special for your woman! I'm not really big on super sweet drinks, but this would be a nice thing to have every once in a while when you want to feel a buzz and have something sweet at the same time.

Dole Pineapple Juice
Pinnacle Brand Whip Cream Vodka
Pinnacle Brand Vanilla Vodka
Roses Grenadine
Maraschino cherries

This recipe I like a bit better because it has more alcohol and more flavors. The only thing that would be missing is a cherry because normally Pineapple Upside Down has cherries in the middle of the pineapple.

2oz Cake Flavored Vodka
2oz Pineapple Juice
1/2 Amaretto
1/2 Dark Rum

Now this is interesting.

1oz Pineapple Whipped Cream Vodka
1 1/2 oz KeKe Lime Liqueur
1/2 oz of Lime Juice
1/2 oz of Half and Half
Splash of Sweet and Sour

And of course, you know I can't leave out the Tipsy Bartender! This is a REALLY great way of having a key lime pie...he actually encrusts the rim of the glass with lime juice and graham crackers (great idea).

Sex with an Alligator via TipsyBartender

This is a pretty cool layered shot! I have to say this looks pretty crazy.

Flashing your bartender aka wilding out at the club

Now, this topic that the people at Tipsy Bartender have come up with..I can definitely relate to..while the chick did not flash her tits..she definitely flashed something else! LOLOL. It wasn't to get a drink, but she definitely threw back some drinks. I'll tell you that! I remember it like yesterday. I was chillin after some dancing, and this cute latina walks in..she's kinda moving to the music and all of a sudden she kisses my homie, the DJ. She's absolute trouble..I was watching her dance, and I guess she saw me and basically walked up to me...backed her booty up and everything. And yes, I danced with her for a few songs..lol. She ended up pulling down her slacks and all you saw was booty and thong. LOL. Not only that, she was doing cartwheels to splits...I was just like, "Yo, if that's not the most ratchet sh*t I've ever seen in my life."

As you can see, I clearly have an understanding of what he's talking about! LOL. Peep the video!

Surfer on Absinthe via TipsyBartender

I've heard of a surfer on acid, but this definitely takes it up a few notches. Absinthe has been around since B.C. It was mainly used for medicinal uses and it was served with honey to make it bearable for children to digest. Some people say that original meaning is undrinkable, and other people say it may mean something complex. The interesting thing about it is that it became a kind of popular form of alcoholic consumption in France. However, it was still wine territory as it is today.

In the 1900s, there was an unofficial ban on the liquor as many people deemed it to make people go loony and it provoked things such as epilepsy and tuberculosis. However, by 1990, it was reinstated as there was no formal ban. This is a special kind of alcohol that has a very plant/licorice based taste to it. It's very potent with an ABV from around 45-97%. So, it's no surprise that some people just really don't drink it. However, this surfer on absinthe seems to have a potent yet very smooth kick. Here's the recipe:

1 part Lucid Absinthe
1 part Coconut Rum
1 part Pineapple Juice

Pokemon Cocktail "The Dratini" via TipsyBartender

If you have ever subscribed to "The Drunken Moogle", you'll see all kinds of cool video game cocktails. Pokemon is just the tip of the iceberg, my fellow cocktail connoisseurs. I like when he posts up the video game cocktails, though. You definitely get a very cool and creative feel when you start sipping on these. I'm not necessarily a Dratini fan, but I can tell seeing as Dratini is a strong Pokemon, the liquor base is equally the same as the name!

Here's the recipe:
1 1/2oz Gin
1 1/2oz Hpnotiq
Splash of Blue Curacao

If you are not a Gin drinker, you might not want to partake. If you are, this is a bit of a different feel, and might be a bit refreshing compared to the regular Gin taste. If you want to see more video game cocktails such as the Street Fighter x Tekken cocktail, Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception Cocktail, Modern Warfare 3 Frag Grenade Shot, you can check out my blog at Playstation 3 Game Console Review for some cool ass recipes and gaming related info!

Lynchburg Lemonade via TipsyBartender

This is what you call a banging summer drink with def a bit of kick to it! Kinda sweet, but it has that bourbon/whiskey feel to it! It's definitely one to try out if you are a whiskey fan trying to get a bit of bite and flavor to your normal ice and whiskey days! Here's the recipe:

1.5oz Jack Daniels
.5oz Triple Sec
.5oz Sweet & Sour
1oz Lemon-lime soda

What does Cinco de Mayo really mean?

I know this is a bit late, but I had to post it! Well, for one thing, it is not about Mexican Independence! However, had this event not have occurred, the United States and Mexico might have a bit of a different outcome. So while you are sipping on your tequila, here are a few things to think about.

According to some sources on Wikipedia, the date is observed to commemorate the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. The actual event of Mexican Independence is on September 16th. Wow, that means it's two days before my birthday. How interesting, right? Had Mexico not won that particular battle, the United States might still have ended up a confederacy due to the fact that Napoleon was in a good relationship with the Confederacy and could supply weapons amongst other things. Mexico's battle resulted in France's forces weakened which allowed the Union Army to take advantage of the situation. Interesting news! Well, that about does it for the brief history. Take a little sip of Tequila and eat some good Mexican food! Authentic stuff! Enjoy!

"Milky Nuts" Spiked Milkshake via TipsyBartender

After those nasty shots that Emma had to do on Tipsy Bartender (no, those were not getting posted on my site..LOLOL), I'm mos def glad she was able to drink something a little bit more subtle. I have a bunch of milkshake recipes on my site such as the Homemade Spiked Ice Cream and St. Peppermint Patty, which you can check out for your leisure, but this looks exceptionally good.

Here's the break down of the recipe:
1 pint Vanilla Ice Cream
2 spoons Nutella
1oz Vodka
1oz Frangelico
Chocolate Syrup
Whipped Cream
Chocolate

This gives a new meaning to dessert! Later this week, I'll see if I can post some cool Mother's Day Recipes (if there are any..hahaha). Should be interesting. Check the video from the Jump:

Should the drinking age in America be lowered?

We all know that America has been through rough patches with alcohol. From the Abusing of wives before the prohibition era, throughout the bootlegging of the Prohibition Era and the like, it's a rather difficult process. Alcohol in America is still looked upon as this sort of Taboo, should be almost banned kind of system, and it really sucks. An actor guy named Josh Hutcherson used a fake id to purchase a very expensive scotch, and of course got in trouble. The guy is 19 years old. I have to agree with Skyy John, and say if you are old enough to exercise your vote to elect someone in office, you are old enough to go to war, you should at least be able to have some kind of drink..maybe some beer and wine, and then when you get 21 - you'll be able to drink the stronger stuff.

In a way, I guess that's just how America works. If you go to Europe, it's expected that you drink. Almost as if it's a part of everyday life. Kids that are very young start drinking wine and even some beer in small cases, just because it's part of everyday life. It goes with the conversation in the home, it goes with dinner. It's a social aspect that's been there for centuries, maybe even milleniums. Skyy John, Keziah, and Kristina make some solid points on why you should look at this question from all fronts. I mean, obviously some people can handle that responsibility and some people cannot. I started drinking before I got to school. I was 17 at the time. However, it was in the home. I found out my limit, and even then I didn't drink when I was school to be honest. It's the students that was usually not allowed to drink at home that went buckwild and crazy. Throwing up and taking everything excessively. In a way, certain people should start drinking around the time they become 18 as a way to introduce them to things naturally and kind of make them more responsible. Not just go all out on the low when they see alcohol. At any rate, peep the clip below and tell me what you think!

Ne-Yo - Burnin Up presented by Malibu Red (Official Music Video)

The video is chill, but I basically wanted to post it up to introduce everyone to a great sounding drink. There is already Coconut flavored Tequila
on the market, but I think the infusion of Coconut Rum and a silver Tequila might actually make for a great cocktail base or even a sipper with ice depending on the smoothness.

Also, I'm going to post some of the launch footage down below. If I so happen to try sometime during the week, I'll def let you all know how I feel. Thanks! Peace!

How to make a Morning Wood Shot - TipsyBartender

How to make a Bend Over Shirley via Tipsy Bartender

You know what's kind of funny and ironic? I was actually thinking of what a Shirley Temple would taste like with Vodka in it. You know the reason why the Shirley Temple was first created? Well, Shirley Temple could obviously not drink at the time, so she wanted a mocktail of her own. Now, this recipe is a Shirley Temple but with Vodka to spice things up. Check it out below: Recipe calls for: 1 oz. Raspberry Vodka Fill with Sprite Splash of Grenadine

Tequila Don Julio Welcomes Lil Jon to La Primavera Distillery

Here's Lil Jon cuttin up some Agave, you can check more pix on his Facebook page.

If you ever heard a Lil Jon song, you'll notice that one thing remains synonymous with him: Tequila. So, I am not surprised he is moving onto a sort of brand management with one of the world's finest tequilas: Don Julio. Here he actually visits the site and gets a nice little history lesson on where the Tequila comes from. Pretty cool stuff. Check it out: Also, check out some of the songs involving drinks with Lil Jon!!!
